For this painting I have chosen the theme Portals to Renewal , a title that quickly leads to thought and association about a path to oneself, a striving to illuminate paths to inner depth. A portal for me is a symbol, above all, of a path, a bridge, communication between two worlds, a world outside us and a world inside us. It is a necessity when striving to move into different spaces. A symbol of movement, hope for wholeness, it gives a feeling of personal freedom. The portal as a symbol of transformation, initiation, a path to renewal, awakening of the seeking spirit, longing for change. Renewal comes when we have walked a certain path and we no longer have a place there, the need to move to another level comes... and how, with a portal that we find or create, the portal to exactly this renewal.
