Born in Tbilisi, George’s first teacher was his own father Dmitry Khakhutashvili – a renowned Georgian artist. It was him who inspired and helped his son develop his unique understanding of creativity plus the skills to use and apply different styles. In 1986 – 1994 George Khakhutashvili was studying in academy of art, Tbilisi. For an artist, the expressiveness and brightness of colour are of particular importance! Helped by his great mastery with colour, George achieves maximum harmony between cold and warm tones, conveying a kind of ecstatic state that is inherent in expressionism and fauvism. The paintings of George Khakhutashvili are always filled with warmth like his home country Georgia, and the bright gamut of colours on his masterpieces simple, like everything genius, makes you feel that life is beautiful!
