Artist Aivis Pīzelis was born in 1988 in Preiļi. Graduated from Rēzekne Secondary School of Art and Design in 2009. In 2013 he received a bachelor's degree in Latgale branch of the Latvian Academy of Art (LAA), and in 2015 also a master's degree in painting. The works of A. Pīzelis, whose creative activity is closely related to Latgale, have been painting exhibitions in his native Preili and elsewhere in Latgale - Rezekne, Daugavpils, Varakļāni, Balvi, Krāslava as well as elsewhere in Latvia - Mazirbe, Jelgava,Jēkabpils, Ozolnieki and Rīga.Since 2007, he has been active in plenary sessions, group exhibitions and solo exhibitions.
